The congregation is made up of all sorts of people from the local community. We meet to worship God, to share fellowship, and to live out God’s mission of Good News in the world. We try to get involved in what’s happening in our own area, and we also support international charities such as Christian Aid, Shoebox Appeal, Poppy Appeal, Commitment for Life and a Food Bank.

We’re currently committed to focusing on ensuring we do what we can to take care of the environment and working towards becoming an eco-church and a Fair Trade Church. This means that we work hard to make our church more eco-friendly and justice oriented. We are working with Green Journey to find ways to reduce our carbon footprint as a church and helping the West Midlands Synod to become an eco-synod.

We are hoping to join the growing number of churches that are working towards becoming an eco-church with an award status…watch this space.

We have a team of elected Elders, who serve the church through decision-making, planning, organising, serving Communion, and in lots of other ways throughout the week.

We are a child friendly congregation and have a ‘prayground’ where children are welcome to play and create during the service.

We at Wombourne URC are excited about bringing the

Good News of God’s love to the village of Wombourne.

How do we do that?
