WALL HEATH REMEMBERS
Members and friends of St. Andrew’s URC in Wall Heath are fortunate to have a magnificent tribute to commemorate the centenary of the end of the First World War displayed on our church building.  The poppies fall from the roof down to the flower border which faces onto the main A449 road in front of the church.  We have already had people stopping and commenting on how beautiful it is, and drivers have sent messages to say how eye catching and truly amazing the display looks when they drive past.

The stunning piece of artwork was created by two of our members, Anne Jones and Lynn Wilding, who got their inspiration after seeing the poppies at the Tower of London.  They started working together on this some time ago with various materials and glue guns and lots of enthusiasm, and after many hours, and many blistered fingers, they produced the amazing work of art that we are privileged to be able to see and appreciate.  It is a wonderful achievement and we offer our very sincere thanks to both ladies for this very moving and fitting tribute
