Wombourne URC

has made the glorious and adventurous decision to begin an

Eco-garden

Thank you Julie, Tony and Richard for starting the garden and on such a cold and windy day as well!

It is beginning to look fantastic…

Now the compost bin is looking good, the bird feeders are up, the hedgehog home is in situ and if you look carefully you can see the wildflower seedlings starting to push through…what a glory of colour awaits us this spring. We also have brackets awaiting hanging baskets in the spring 🙂

The Water Butt is now in place and fitted, just in time to fill up with the rainfall on Sunday 3 March. Thank you to Simon and Phil James for working on this

Nesting Boxes are now in place thanks to Phil James

UpdateTuesday 9 April 2019

Tidied the garden and shred the Silver Birch branches for the compost bin, turned them in and turned over the compost. Added leaf mulch to the border ready for the plants. Saw Blue Tits on the feeders along with a Starling as well as a Dunnock near the water butt.

Insect Hotel Comin Soon!!

Thank you for all the work, love and care and for cherishing God’s planet with such sensitivity!

Please feel free to water and tend our garden 🙂
